Re: Do Due Diligence
From: Greg Hartmann
Dear Friend,
We'll look at these and many other questions in depth in this book, but that is not the real purpose of this book. As a successful top distributor with a number of different network marketing companies and a twenty-year veteran of the industry, I began to notice a disturbing trend.
New companies were springing up left and right, and excited, good- intentioned people were joining these companies in droves. They were then, based mostly on their excitement, enrolling their friends, neighbors and family into the "hot new deal." Six months later, many of them were angry and frustrated and no better off financially (in some cases actually worse off) and ready to curse the industry and the person that introduced them to it. Even worse, these excited new members of our industry now had a tainted view of the industry as a whole and oftentimes would then go out into the marketplace and perpetuate their bad experience.
It is no wonder so many people cringe when they hear the words "network marketing."
The purpose of this book is to allow you to make a sound, fact-based business decision as you evaluate this industry. More importantly, it will allow you to evaluate the industry and company you're considering up front, prior to even getting involved in the industry. We will spend a great amount of our time examining the question, "Are you even the right type of person to be in this type of business?" Almost nobody addresses this question prior to entering network marketing. That is about as ridiculous as showing up to play in the symphony orchestra not knowing whether you can play an instrument or not! Yet, this is exactly the way people end up getting into network marketing.
